Domaine de la Pepiere Muscadet Loire Valley, France 2010            $14

Racy and refreshing with complex minerality and bracing acidity which provides a firm backbone and crisp finish.

Edmunds St. John ‘Bone Jolly’ Gamay Noir Rose El Dorado, California 2011            $18

Aromas of freshly crushed berries and minerality help this uplifting Rose pair with a wide range food, especially if the sun is out.

Georges Descombes Morgon Beaujolais, France 2009         $22

From the village of Morgon, this Gamay Noir over-delivers with ripe dark red fruit, mineral tones and firm acidity.  Great with a slight chill.

Wine Director of The Absinthe Group, Ian Becker is responsible for cultivating the award-winning wine program at Absinthe Brasserie & Bar, working closely with Executive Chef Adam Keough and Sommelier Aaron Wasserman to craft a selection that complements the San Francisco-influenced French brasserie menu. For Boxing Room, he features a selection of small-production wines that complement the rustic and bold flavors of the Cajun-inspired cuisine. Mineral-driven, crisp whites pair well with the raw bar as well as a selection of juicy reds to go with Boxing Room’s robust appetizers and entrees. Becker also hand selects every wine to ensure customers receive the finest quality and best value at Arlequin Wine Merchant and Comstock Saloon.
