A Wine & Food Affair (VIDEO)
Tasting Along the Wine Road
For 14 years Northern Sonoma County wine country has taken wine and food pairing to new heights. Blending well sought after chefs with amazing winemakers, the 14th Annual Wine & Food Affair goes beyond just getting creative with cuisine, they are mastering the marriage of food and wine. With nearly 200 vintners and 50 lodgings throughout the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River valleys it’s no wonder why wine lovers and foodies from across the country head to Northern Sonoma County for the annual event.

Native New Englanders Peter and Diana Merriam first envisioned a French-style winery in the United States during their honeymoon in France, where they were struck by the rich culture of food and wine and the seamless quality between life and work among French vignerons. After more than a five-year search for the perfect vineyard with pedigree, they purchased Windacre in 2000 and began blending French-style wines on the warmest edge of the Russian River Valley.
